Art 13. Freedom of the arts and sciences

Definition

The arts and sciences research shall be free of constraint. Academic freedom shall be respected.

Legal Explanation

The right is deduced primarily from the right to freedom of thought and expression. It is to be exercised having regard to Article 1 and may be subject to the limitations authorised by Article 10 of the ECHR.
